ORGANISATIONS COMBINE TO PROVIDE HELP FOR PEOPLE IN NEED AT CHRISTMAS

Clevedon Yeo Rotary club have presented a cheque for £700 to Clevedon and District foodbank to help support their great work in the area.

This was raised as a result of the Rotary Clubs’ recent quiz night. A good number of the Rotary club members also helped the foodbank over a number of days at the end of November/early December to collect donations at the Tesco store in Clevedon to help with the provision of food parcels for families and individuals in need over the Christmas period.

The volunteers, working with the Foodbank team, were in store engaging with the shoppers and collecting donations of food or money.

Club President Tony Carrington said “We have established a great working relationship with the Foodbank. We like to support them financially but also with the practical help of our members with collecting donations and also delivering them to the Foodbank on a weekly basis. Clevedon Yeo Rotary Club working with Clevedon Foodbank-A great team”
